There will be an accompanist workshop led by Canadian pianist, Cheryl Emery-Karapita, who will be in town for the Mozart concert. This will be open for the public to observe for a small admission fee.

Upcoming Events with which COSY is Associated

COSY will be involved with the following events as ‘host partners’ providing assistance with logistics and publicity:

  1. World-class performers Robert Uchida (violin) and Peter Allen (piano) want to add a trip to Yellowknife as part of a mini-tour they are giving in May 2018 featuring all of Brahms’ piano and violin sonatas. They are keen to do local outreach i.e. lessons, masterclass, school concert/visits, etc.
  2. Clarisse Tonigussi – Women Composers Concert                                                                                                                          Approximate date: May 23/24 2018

The Canadian Women Composers Project celebrates the music of women in Canada. The project brings to light an array of Canadian women composers through a one-hour recital of vocal music. Spanning an entire year from 2017 to 2018, the project will visit every Canadian province and territory.
COSY hopes to sponsor a workshop with these musicians.
For news, expect an email message nearer the time.

COSY members are very welcome to submit thoughts and ideas for our future projects!
